Venturer Scouts (Ages 15 - 18)

 

Venturer Scouts is for young adults aged 15 to 18 years.

 

Venturers is a do-it-yourself mix of adventure, fun, personal development and friendship. It is run by you and your friends and the program is yours to own in a democratic environment! There are leaders but they are there to guide you rather than tell you what to do.

 

Venturers is not all about the outdoors (although there is plenty to do outdoors)! You’ll be involved in a well-designed program to develop confidence, independence and teamwork skills. You can get involved in staging professional shows, learning responsibility for the environment, attending leadership courses, and working on service projects to help others in the community.

 

The outdoor stuff involves things you can't do when you are younger. Abseiling and climbing sheer rock faces, white water kayaking, mountain biking, snow camping and diving are some of the great activities you can choose to do.
